Melissa began studying classical piano at age six. A year later, she took up the violin, the instrument that soon became the center of her musical life. While her violin studies intensified in high school, Melissa taught herself how to play the guitar and began writing songs, a hobby that eventually led to her recording and releasing a studio album called Blue Ceilings in 2024. All the while, she developed her professional and technical skills as a classical violinist, playing in orchestras and chamber ensembles, performing on stages, in pits, and in churches, and growing in her love for the instrument that is her prized means of expression.
